Fiber Post and Core

Before Treatment:

• The dentist evaluates the tooth to determine if a fiber post is necessary.
• X-rays are taken to assess root canal condition.

During Treatment:

1. The tooth is cleaned and prepared for the fiber post.
2. A fiber post is placed into the root canal and secured with adhesive.
3. A core buildup is created using a biocompatible material.
4. The tooth is shaped and prepared for crown placement.
5. A temporary crown may be placed until the permanent crown is ready.

After Treatment:

• Patients may experience mild sensitivity, which resolves within a few days.
• The permanent crown is placed in a follow-up appointment.

Aftercare & Recovery

• Avoid hard or sticky foods for the first few days.
• Maintain good oral hygiene to prevent infections.
• Attend follow-up visits to monitor healing and crown placement.
• Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and avoid aggressive brushing.
