A DHA-licensed doctor who works with hyaluronidase every week, and who assesses before injecting anything. At Elora Aesthetics Polyclinic in Dubai we correct filler from other clinics regularly: lips that have migrated above the border, cheeks that look heavy, tear troughs that swell, and asymmetry after a rushed appointment.
The correction is staged. A small dose of hyaluronidase (hyalase) dissolves the product where it should not be, we review after one to two weeks, and only then decide whether a second dose or a small refill is needed. Dissolving everything in one go is rarely the right answer.
Hyaluronidase works on hyaluronic acid fillers, which is what the large majority of lip and cheek fillers are. It does not dissolve permanent or collagen-stimulating products, and we will tell you at assessment if that is what you have. How much does filler dissolving cost?
At Elora, filler dissolving starts from AED 500. The exact cost depends on the area and the amount of filler being corrected, and whether more than one session is needed. A consultation and assessment will confirm the plan and price for you.
Can you fix filler from another clinic?
Yes. We regularly assess filler that was placed elsewhere. We begin with a careful assessment of the area rather than treating straight away, so your practitioner can understand what was done and advise the safest way to correct it.
Does hyaluronidase work on all fillers?
Hyaluronidase, also sold as hyalase, dissolves hyaluronic-acid (HA) fillers, which are the most common type. It does not dissolve non-HA fillers such as certain biostimulators. Your practitioner will confirm whether your filler is suitable during your assessment.
What if I have pain, blanching or skin colour changes after filler?
Sudden severe pain, skin turning white or dusky, or vision changes after filler can signal a vascular complication and are a medical emergency. Seek urgent medical care immediately. If you are an existing patient, contact us right away; otherwise go to the nearest emergency department without delay.
How soon will I see a difference?
Some change can be visible soon after treatment, with further softening over the following days as the enzyme takes effect. Your practitioner may recommend a review and, in some cases, a repeat session to reach the desired result.
