Category 02 · Fillers
Filler is not about adding volume everywhere. It is about identifying the two or three places where volume was lost, and replacing it there — so the change reads as rested rather than done.

In Short
Face fillers are hyaluronic acid gels injected to restore volume, define contour and rebalance facial proportion. At Elora Polyclinic in Dubai we use Juvéderm, Stylage by VIVACY, Teosyal and Revolax, selecting gel density per area — soft gels for lips and under-eyes, firmer gels for cheeks, chin and jawline. Results are immediate, last 9 to 18 months, and are fully dissolvable.
The Brands We Use
Long-established range with strong lift capacity and predictable longevity. The firmer gels in the range are our common choice for cheek, chin and jawline structure where projection has to hold.
Formulated with mannitol, which reduces post-treatment swelling and bruising. Particularly useful in delicate, swelling-prone areas — under the eyes and in the lips.
Engineered to behave dynamically with facial movement rather than sitting rigidly, which suits areas that move constantly such as the perioral region and nasolabial folds.
A smooth monophasic gel with excellent cohesivity and a strong value position, used where a well-tolerated, reliable result is wanted without a premium-brand cost.
Gel density is not a marketing tier — it is a clinical decision. A firm gel placed in the lips looks lumpy; a soft gel placed on the chin will not hold projection. We select per area, which is why a full-face plan often uses two or three different products.
Treatment Areas
Volume is assessed across the whole face — these are the nine areas we treat and what restoring each one achieves.
Restores the hollowing above the cheekbone that quietly ages the upper face and narrows the forehead.
Softens the tear trough shadow that reads as permanent tiredness. Technique-sensitive — assessed carefully.
Rebuilds midface volume and projection, which lifts everything below it rather than only filling the cheek.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty — camouflaging a dorsal hump or refining the tip without surgery.
The lines from nose to mouth, softened by supporting the cheek above rather than only filling the crease.
Hydration, definition, symmetry or volume — planned around your existing lip proportion, not a template.
The downward lines from mouth corner to jaw that make the face read as unhappy at rest.
Improves projection and balance in profile, one of the highest-impact and most under-requested areas.
Sharpens definition along the jaw and softens early jowling for a cleaner facial border.
Unretouched before and after photographs published with patient consent. Individual results vary according to skin condition, product and treatment plan.

Candidacy
01
Volume is assessed across the whole face, not only where you point. Frequently the area that bothers you is a symptom of volume lost somewhere else.
02
Gel density is matched to each area — soft for lips and tear troughs, firmer for chin, cheek and jawline. Volume per area is agreed before anything is injected.
03
The skin is cleansed and topical anaesthetic applied. Most fillers also contain lidocaine, so comfort improves as the treatment progresses.
04
Needle or cannula depending on the area — cannula is preferred under the eyes and along the jaw to reduce bruising and improve safety.
05
The product is moulded and both sides compared with you sitting upright, since lying down changes how tissue sits.
06
Swelling settles and the true result is assessed. Additional product can be added at this point — which is why we under-fill deliberately at the first appointment.
Compare
| Character | Typically Used For | Lasts | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Juvéderm | Strong lift, high cohesivity | Cheeks, chin, jawline | 12–18 months |
| Stylage | Mannitol — less swelling | Under-eyes, lips | 9–15 months |
| Teosyal | Dynamic, moves with the face | Perioral, nasolabial, lips | 9–15 months |
| Revolax | Smooth monophasic gel | General volume, contour | 9–12 months |
| Skin booster (not a filler) | Spreads through skin | Quality, not contour | 6–9 months |
Benefits
Fillers are temporary and require repeat treatment to maintain, typically every nine to eighteen months. Swelling and bruising for a few days are normal, particularly in the lips and under the eyes. Rare but serious complications include vascular occlusion, which is why treatment should only be performed by trained medical practitioners with hyaluronidase immediately available — as it is at Elora. Under-eye filler in particular is technique-sensitive and not suitable for everyone. Your practitioner will discuss all of this at consultation.
Recovery
Day 0
Immediate visible result with some swelling. Avoid exercise, heat and alcohol for twenty-four hours.
Days 1–3
Swelling peaks then subsides — most noticeable in the lips. Any bruising can be covered with makeup.
Days 4–7
Swelling largely resolved and the product begins to integrate with the tissue.
Week 2
Final settled result and your review appointment. Additional product added if needed.
Months 3–6
Stable result. Hyaluronic acid attracts water, so hydration is well maintained.
Months 9–18
Gradual absorption. Most patients top up before the result has fully disappeared.

At Elora, face fillers start from AED 1,100. Final cost depends on how many millilitres are needed and which product each area requires, and is confirmed at your complimentary consultation. Lip treatment typically starts at one millilitre; full-face plans need more and are usually staged.
Juvéderm, Stylage by VIVACY, Teosyal and Revolax. We select per area rather than per patient — a full-face plan commonly uses two or three different products, because the gel that holds a chin projection is the wrong gel for lips.
Not with a conservative approach. Overfilling happens through treating the same area repeatedly without letting previous product absorb, and through filling lines directly instead of restoring the volume that caused them. We under-fill at the first appointment and review at two weeks.
Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers are dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which works within hours to days. This reversibility is a genuine safety advantage over permanent fillers, which we do not use.
Between nine and eighteen months depending on the product, the area and your metabolism. Areas that move constantly — lips, perioral — absorb faster than static areas like the chin and cheeks.
Minimal. Swelling and occasional bruising for one to three days, most noticeable in the lips. Most patients return to work the same day, though we advise scheduling lip treatment at least two weeks before any event.
A filler adds volume in a specific place to change shape. A booster like Profhilo or Jalupro spreads through the skin to improve hydration, elasticity and texture without changing contour. Many patients benefit from both, treating different problems.
Look for a clinic that under-fills first and reviews later, rather than chasing volume in one visit. At Elora Aesthetics Polyclinic on Al Wasl Road, lip filler is doctor-led with soft, low-swelling gels selected specifically for lips, a conservative first appointment and a two-week review — so lips stay natural. Face fillers start from AED 1,100, and lip treatment typically starts at one millilitre.
